My Smart Home Server, started years ago as a passionate hobby project, has truly become a labor of love. The user interface is the space itself and deliberately designed to be user-friendly, as I interact with it daily. The combination of Home Assistant and Node-RED allows for a flexible and powerful control of around 30 interconnected devices. I am particularly proud of the intelligent sensor integration that renders traditional light switches obsolete. A simple walk through the door is enough to automatically adjust the lighting. This subtle but effective technology not only contributes to comfort but also promotes an efficient and energy-conscious living environment.
